Learning to Skip Count

I have been learning to skip count in 2s to 100

We used mathsisfun.com to help us learn how to skip-count, as well as saying it, clapping it forwards and backwards.

Reflection:  I could do it and then I did it again.  Sarim  23.11.17

Geometry: Sorting and Classifying 3D Shapes

I am beginning to name, sort and classify simple 3D shapes

I can name some shapes.  I can see some shapes.  Sarim 18.08.17

Sarim, well done, you have tried really hard to learn about different 3D shapes.  You have grouped these shapes together and matched them carefully.  Rectangular prism are box shaped.  Cylinder is like a can or tin.  Mrs Templeton  18.08.17

Learning about the 'teen' numbers using tens and ones

I am learning to recognise the value of numbers to 20 using tens and ones

I could write the numbers that Mrs Templeton asked.  I needed help to make the number on equipment.
This was easy?/tricky?
Sarim 04.07.11
This was very tricky for you Sarim.  You are still learning that the tens rod is worth ten and you are counting from one to work out how many.  We will keep working on some of this next term so that you can see a 'teen' number as one ten and some ones.

Welcome to Autumn

Autumn leaves fell all over Elm Park School.  This gave us a great idea.  We used Kidpix to make our own leaves and illustrate our awesome autumn writing.
